Lori Hi, I'm really worried about my longtime friend Christina... Has anyone heard from her. I think last time I was her was when she was ill. Please tell her to check in because there are very many people worried about her and mainly me!!!!

Good news or bad news first???? Joe's Dad had a few procedures lately. He had a biopsy and they found kidney ca. Then during the work up for the Nephrectomy... They found an abnormal heart beat and put in a pacemaker. Then today the did the kidney surgery and the ca and scar tissue was so intense they left the kidney due to taking it out would be to destructive.... Oh yea, the good news... They think it's so slow growing ca that it will not be a problem for many years (8 to be exact). Whitey is 84. Still pray for quick healing... Thanks.

Lori Back from Austin and some very deserved R & R... Joe did amazing and finished the Charity ride in record time. He rode for the Livestrong Foundation, and this was his third year doing so. This ride is very near and dear to him being a cancer survivor himself!!! He actually rode over 20 miles with Lance's pack... He said it was the equivalence to throwing a ball with Babe Ruth. He even stopped at a rest stop and had words and a friendly handshake with Lance. It really made Joe's trip... We ate at every famous restaurant and visited the library of L.B. Johnson, the 36th president of the United States of America. Austin is a really great city and there is lots to be done and to see there (the bar-b-q is not bad either). Their saying is "Keep Austin Weird"...I will have to post pictures when I get around to down loading them. Glad to be home and back in the swing of things with a great new attitude(recharged my relationship with my husband and recharged my batteries).

Lori On my way to Austin... Joe has his annual livestrong ride in Austin TX. I'm so proud of his passion for cycling. I'm really looking forward to some alone time with Joe. Our marriage is taking the toll with work and the stress at home. I really look forward to time away to rebuild our relationship. It was 14 years last Tuesday... Can you believe it 14 years... That is a long time and we've earned every year. Hope all goes well and pray for a safe trip and ride for Joe. Thanks...
